The Indiana public is acutely aware of the food and the best pubs in the city of Indianapolis. Similar to the trend that is taking over the world these days, the food culture is taking prime and front stage in the minds and hearts of people. The times when the love for music was at an all-time high have been replaced by whats on the plate and the social gathers. Indiana has always been known for its contribution toward the music industry. However, in recent times, this popularity is fading. Surveys have been conducted recently by a not-for-profit company called Musical Family Tree to find out what the people were able to relate to in terms of culture these days, in Indiana. The survey results were a very shocking portrayal of music popularity in the state. People were rarely buying albums or keeping track or music artists. However, when it came to live music venues, people knew exactly where they were but didn’t relate or absorb the music.
The civil leaders of Indiana are now marching on to raise awareness of the music industry in the state. Irrespective of the lack of knowledge, the promise to popularise music is on the rise. Music is an essential part of human life. The quality of life is enhanced and in Indiana, a state that has been driven by music in the past, it can create new ripples of talent that the rest of America and the world can enjoy. The Indy Music Strategy aims at doing just that for the state. The new initiative has been formulated after looking at the success that music has rendered to the quality of life in other states.
The Man Behind The Initiative
The greatest cultural influences are started by humble people that have a passion for the subject and can come from anywhere. The musical family tree is managed by the band vocalist of Maravich, Jim Rawlinson. He is a part of a massive project that focuses on the ecosystem in music and its economic impact on the cities in Indiana. Jim is focused on making Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana as a “Music City” – A title that will give the town that much needed boost in its musical effervescence. Indianapolis is said to complete against other main cities in America in its tourism and music industry. While other cities are known for their country music or their live music like Nashville and Austin, Indianapolis does not have the right identity in the music industry to take it across the line. Jim Rawlinson believes that the artists of Indiana have more at stake if the initiative is not carried out.
Collaborations, Strategies, and Budgets
Every US city that has been driven to show music success has employed the services of Sound Diplomacy. They effectively help cities achieve their music industry acumen by assisting them to generate economic and revenue growth through talent attracting. Every performance space will be mapped at first along with recording studios and other music spaces. With donors coming in to help the cause, the initiative will be set to motion by 2020. The data and information that is being collected are reliable. Therefore, with the right marketing strategy to push the idea across, Rawlinson’s initiative would soon become a reality.
